State Rep. Amanda Price apologized in an email statement today, claiming that she never confirmed the April 27th townhall on Prop 1 with Sen. Arlan Meekhof.

Just hours after a WMP article on the townhall, sources told WMP yesterday Meekhof was bailing on the event. (A Facebook page was also created for the townhall.)

Price writes:

"While I continue to look forward to meeting with folks who have questions about Proposal 1 (Road Funding Proposal), I regret to inform you that the information provided in the newsletter was not accurate.  My office did contact Senator Meekhof’s staff and asked to co-sponsor a Town Hall meeting.  However, Senator Meekhof’s attendance was not confirmed prior to releasing our April 10, 2014 email newsletter.  I apologize for any confusion this may have caused."

With all due respect to Rep. Price, she would never do that. Meekhof got scared, bailed, and forced Price to release this BS statement..Kudos to Rep. Price for holding the event and taking the tough questions.
