Michigan Republican Party Ethnic Vice-Chair Darwin Jiles is hosting an event at the Capitol in Lansing Monday, April 27th where attendees will pray that the Supreme Court upholds Michigan's ban on same-sex marriage, among other things. The gathering is dubbed "An Appeal To Heaven."

The event's email release says that prayer is a weapon against a ruling they do not want, and according to a flyer for the event, the Supreme Court ruling will be the "Roe V. Wade" of marriage.

"Join State Committeewoman/Christian Sonjalita Hulbert and Michigan Republican Party Ethnic Vice Chair Darwin Jiles Jr in an hour of PRAYER for Religious Freedom to take authority over the Supreme Court in DC and Restrain the Judges as they conduct hearings on what will be the Roe v. Wade of Marriage."

Jiles is backed by RNC Committeeman Dave Agema, Conservative activist Isabelle Terry, and others. He defeated incumbent MIGOP Ethnic Vice Chair Linda Lee Tarver in February to become Vice Chair.

Here is the full release:

"Monday 12 Noon to 1pm -Capitol building steps Lansing

Join us in calling upon Congress to use the authority granted by the U.S. Constitution to restrain federal judges and the Supreme Court from undermining marriage any further! Defend The sovereign vote of the American People, Our State Constitution, the Sacred Institution of Marriage between One Man and One Woman, and Our Constitutionally protected First Amendment Rights.

We will also Pray for the safety and protection of Those who will be in DC on Monday holding a press conference to present Restraining orders directly to the Court!

Join State Committeewoman/Christian Sonjalita Hulbert and Michigan Republican Party Ethnic Vice Chair Darwin Jiles Jr in an hour of PRAYER for Religious Freedom to take authority over the Supreme Court in DC and Restrain the Judges as they conduct hearings on what will be the Roe v. Wade of Marriage.

The Federal Supreme Court will deliberate on 2 key questions:
Whether states can ban same-sex marriages.
Whether states can refuse to recognize existing same-sex marriages.

The Supreme Court deliberations at the end of the day have nothing to do with marriage but are really about taking out the First Amendment and Criminalizing Christianity. Even for Americans who are not Christians, it makes no sense to destroy the moral fabric at the root of our nation.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."

Stay tuned...
